Consider what we’re actually protecting – the message of eternal life, the keys to God’s kingdom, the power to set captives free. This isn’t a responsibility we can take lightly or handle carelessly. Our generation’s understanding of God’s truth and their eternal destiny may depend on how faithfully we guard this precious deposit.
