Think about it: “He Lives so that we may Live.” This isn’t just a nice thought; it’s the core of our hope and faith, anchored in the words of Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:14, “And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.”
So, why is this idea so revolutionary? It’s because the resurrection is not just about Jesus defeating death; it’s also about what this victory means for us. But let’s get real for a moment. It’s easy to forget this truth amid the daily grind. Bills to pay, relationships to mend, doubts to wrestle with—life can feel pretty ordinary. Yet, because He lives, even the most ordinary moments are infused with extraordinary purpose. Our conversations carry weight, our kindness can change someone’s day, and our choices can have eternal consequences.
Because He lives, we also have a community, a family of believers worldwide, past, present, and future, connected through Him. It’s a beautiful tapestry of lives woven together by His resurrection power, each thread significant, each story part of His greater narrative.
Because He lives, we can face our darkest days with hope, knowing that just as the tomb was empty on that third day, our current trials, failures, and even our tombs of despair are not the end of our story. There’s resurrection power available to us, power to overcome, start anew, and live freely and fully.
The resurrection of Jesus is a mystery wrapped in victory. It invites us into a faith that’s alive, active, and anchored in the unshakeable reality of Jesus’ victory over death. It’s a call to live boldly, love radically, and stand firm in the hope of what God has done and promises to do.

Lord, because You live, we can face each day with hope, courage, and purpose. Help us to grasp the depth of what Your resurrection means for us.
