You are an Ambassador. Not the kind with a diplomatic passport, but something far more significant: an ambassador for Christ. According to 2 Corinthians 5:20, that’s precisely what we are – tasked with making God’s appeal to the world, “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”
This isn’t a light assignment. It’s a call to action that springs from the very heart of the resurrection. Being a resurrection person means more than just believing in what happened on Easter Sunday; it means living out the reality of that event every day. It’s about embodying the resurrection’s hope, life, and transformative power in a way that invites others to experience that same reconciliation with God.
But what does this look like in practice? It’s easy to say we’re ambassadors for Christ, but how do we live that out?
First, it means being intentional about our relationships. Every interaction is an opportunity to reflect Jesus’s love, grace, and truth. Whether offering a listening ear, speaking words of encouragement, or standing up for justice and mercy, we’re called to be His hands and feet in a world that desperately needs His touch.
Second, living as resurrection people means not shying away from sharing our story. Our testimony—how Jesus has changed our lives and can change others’ lives, too—is powerful. It’s not about having all the answers or preaching to people; it’s about sharing the genuine difference Christ has made in us.
Finally, it means living with hope. We carry the message of eternal hope in a world that often feels broken and hopeless. Our lives should be signposts pointing to the reality of the resurrection, showing that death and despair don’t have the final word.
Imagine the impact if we all truly lived like this. If every believer embraced their role as Christ’s ambassador, we could transform the spaces we inhabit – our homes, workplaces, communities, and beyond. It’s about small acts done with great love, conversations with grace and truth, and lives lived in vibrant hope.
Being a resurrection person isn’t always easy. It requires courage, humility, and a constant reliance on the Holy Spirit. But it’s also incredibly rewarding. There’s no greater purpose than being part of God’s mission to reconcile the world to Himself.

Lord, thank You for entrusting us with the incredible mission of being Your ambassadors. Help us to live out the truth of the resurrection in every aspect of our lives, showing Your love and speaking Your truth in all we do. Give us the courage to share our stories, the grace to build genuine relationships, and the hope to light up the darkness. May our lives be a testament to the transforming power of Your love.
